Dr. Victoria Williams Featured on WXYZ Detroit for Women’s History Month Spotlight
Dr. Victoria Williams, a trailblazing client of Love Publicity, was recently featured on WXYZ Detroit as part of their Women’s History Month coverage. The segment highlights Dr. Williams as Michigan’s only African American Oculoplastic Surgeon and Neuro-Ophthalmologist, celebrating her inspiring journey and the powerful impact she continues to make in the medical community.
Love Publicity secured the opportunity for Dr. Williams to share her story and educate viewers about the dual medical and cosmetic services she offers at her Southfield-based clinic, Williams Eye Specialty Clinic. With a unique combination of oculoplastic surgery and neuro-ophthalmology, her practice is one of the few of its kind in the state.
“I was fortunate enough to have a couple of African American ophthalmologists throughout my career that helped me stay focused and stay motivated,” Williams said.
“It's not easy, you know, being the only one sometimes—it gets discouraging.”
From taking her grandmother to eye appointments as a teen to spending over a decade in school and practice, Dr. Williams' journey is one of perseverance, purpose, and deep community commitment. Her services range from eyelid lifts and tear duct surgeries to reconstructive procedures and minimally invasive cosmetic treatments.
“I feel honored,” she shared. “I'm glad I can bring something to the community and the state that is needed—and be able to provide care for people who look like me, who may not trust other doctors.”
