THE HEADWRAP EXPO: A CULTURE-RICH CELEBRATION

For 3 years, The Headwrap Expo existed without any public relations efforts or assistance from an expert. The organization decided it wanted to expand its reach and selected Love Publicity to handle media relations. Love Publicity’s goal was to bring awareness to the Expo and show it was a multicultural, interfaith and fashion event for all. Love Publicity worked with the organization in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

This event was unique because it focused on an array of demographics. Recognizing it was an event for people interested in culture and arts, Love Publicity knew that it needed to be strategic on the media selected, placing key focus on cultural publications and media as well as local outlets.

In the 3 years of working with Headwrap Expo, Love Publicity secured a wide range of media placement. The list included 8 Television interviews, two radio interviews, and wide range of print and online publications. WJBK Fox 2 News, WDIV 4, Live in the D, WXYZ 7, NPR, Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, Model D, and Metro Times are amongst all of the publications.
