Local foodies fall in love with river bistro

Opportunity

River Bistro is a new and well-publicized restaurant located on the Westside of Detroit. The organization had been featured across all Detroit media but was looking for non-traditional approach to get the word out about the restaurant. River Bistro Detroit contacted Love Publicity to come-up with a strategy to reach its target market. As a result the restaurant received a 30% increased after a Foodie event at the restaurant produced by the Love Publicity team.

Strategy

On behalf of the client, Love Publicity built and leveraged its relationships with local and national food editors, writers and foodies for a chef table tasting and new menu items. The campaign included guiding the company through a special social media campaign for the event.

Results

Through these public relations efforts, consumers read more about River Bistro Detroit online and social media. The restaurant was featured as a top restaurant by the Detroit Free Press and garnered over a million impressions from popular foodies via social media. In addition, Love Publicity produced post-event content for social media including photos and a re-cap video.
