From day one, Love Publicity has been driven by a single purpose: to uplift and empower small businesses.
In celebration of National Black Business Month, we’re proud to offer one Metro Detroit small business a pro bono PR package valued at $3,500 completely free of charge! This initiative is designed for entrepreneurs who are ready to elevate their brand and share their story with impact.
In 2025, we had the sweetest time!
We worked with winner, Patrice Davis, whose story stood out to us for being rooted in tradition, flavor, and entrepreneurship. It was truly a pleasure to share her journey and support her in getting her business, Grannies Pound Cake, the love that it deserved!
Eligibility Requirements

Location
Business must be headquartered in Metro Detroit (Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb County).

For-Profit Business
Only for-profit businesses are eligible. Nonprofits are not currently eligible.

Operating
The business must be legally registered and operational to be eligible for application.

Collaboration
The winner must be willing to work collaboratively, respond to communication, and provide any necessary materials (e.g., photos, quotes, bios) as requested.

Newsworthiness
The applicant must demonstrate a timely, compelling, or newsworthy development occurring in their business (e.g., launch, milestone, collaboration, comeback, community event, etc.).

Online Presence
The business must have at least one active public-facing platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or a website).

Honesty
All information submitted must be complete, accurate, and truthful to the best of the applicant's knowledge.
Terms of Participation
All applications must be submitted by
Saturday, July 25 at 11:59 PM (EST).
Winner Announcement
The winner will be selected and notified on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Free Service, No Cash Value
This program provides a public relations service package (valued at $3,500) at no cost to the winner. There is no monetary award, and the prize cannot be exchanged for cash or future services.

By applying, applicants acknowledge that:

The service provider cannot be held liable for unforeseen outcomes, a lack of press coverage, or any resulting business impact.
No guarantee of media placement is made.
No Legal Action
The Applicant agrees not to pursue any legal claims against Love Publicity for any aspect of this pro bono service offering.
Publicity Release
The winning business agrees to allow Love Publicity to share its story, name, photos, and project results publicly for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, press outreach, or case studies).
Service Timeline
Services must be rendered for Black Business Month in August 2026. The project terms will be from July 31 to September 4.
One Entry Per Business
Only one application is allowed per business.
Right to Refuse or Revoke
Love Publicity reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who makes false claims, fails to respond, engages in disrespectful conduct, or misaligns with the program's purpose.
